VocalTiles is built as a commercial application by the VocalTiles Team. This service is provided by the VocalTiles Team and is intended for use as is. This page is used to inform website visitors and app users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

Information Collection and Use

VocalTiles does not collect, store, upload, or share any personal identifying data or user communications. All configuration settings, sound boards, user profile metadata, and audio files are stored securely and locally on your iOS device and Apple Watch.

Local Device Storage

The app requires permissions to function optimally on your local device. This data never leaves your device:

• Microphone Access: Used exclusively to record custom audio clips for communication tiles if you choose to record your own voice.
• Camera & Photo Library: Used to set custom symbols or pictures for communication tiles.
• Personal Voice Access (Speech Synthesis): Integrates locally with Apple's Speech synthesizer (iOS 17+) to allow you to select and synthesize communication tiles with your custom voice.

Third-Party Services & Analytics

If you choose to enable "Usage Analytics" in Settings, we may collect anonymous diagnostics and telemetry metrics via TelemetryDeck (such as button click counts, layout toggles, or language preferences) to improve app quality. This data is strictly anonymous and does not contain personal identifying information or transcripts of your spoken sentences.

Children's Privacy

Our app does not collect personal information from children. Because we do not upload any user data to servers, the app complies fully with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) regulations.
